First Day!

Today as I sit drinking my morning cup of coffee and eating a bowl of cereal thoughts race through my mind.

Am I going to finish in two years?

Will I get in to all the classes I need?

Will I make new friends or be a loaner?

Am I going to be happy with the direction I have decided to go?

As I ponder over the answers to these questions, I realize there is really only one answer and that is lets see what happens. Because in all actuality it doesn’t really matter. If the answer to any of those questions becomes no then I just have to find a way to change it.

My goal through the rest of my schooling is to stay positive and just know that I finally made it here after 5 years. To take deep breaths and be proud that I made to this point and there’s no where but up ahead of me in my future.

So wish me luck as I start my first day as a San Francisco State University Gator. I am entering as a transfer student into my junior year of college.

4 Years in counting!

Today marks Mr. Handsome and I’s 4 year anniversary. It’s hard to believe we have been together for 4 years now. How time flies!

He makes me a very happy girl.

Up and Running

As I mentioned yesterday my second goal for this weekend was to get a Facebook Fan page up and running. Well guess what? I have!

Yay! I am pretty excited to have this page up and running. Hopefully it will help me build my blog audience, as well as give me a place to post my short thoughts with out writing a whole post.

I hope you find it a useful place to ask questions, post ideas or just an easy place to find my posts.

So now stop on over to http://www.facebook.com/LMLAIKI and Like my page.

Pinterest Love

Happy Weekend everyone!

This weekend my goals are to update my pinterest boards, and create a Facebook page for my blog.
So far I have completed the updating of my pinterest boards. I rearranged them, made sure pins were on the right boards and changed board cover photos.

You can explore my boards at Christy’s Pinterest!
Next I will work on creating a Facebook Page for the blog.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Smile Monday

So as Mondays are technically my Friday at work, well for two weeks then school starts and I have no Fridays or Mondays, I have decided to start doing a Smile Monday post.

I am going to start posting things that make me smile throughout the week. Hopefully this will keep me motivated to keep chugging along through the next week.

Today I am posting this picture that I found on pinterest that made me laugh out loud. As for normal Smile Monday posts I will start them up next week.

I wonder what my roommate would say if I did this. We are getting low on Toilet paper!

What makes you smile? How do you motivate yourself to get through the upcoming week?

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Till Next Time –

Brain storming….

Good Morning. Before I rush off to get ready for work I thought I would stop in and write a little post.

I have been doing some brainstorming when it comes to my blog and am working on adding new pages and hopefully a steady flow of posts.  It’s hard to keep up a blog when working a full-time job and being a full-time student (I haven’t even started my classes yet). I really don’t know how some of these bloggers out there do it.

I enjoy writing my blog and reading other blogs so I am going to continue to work at it. A very close family friend always says – Ever Try, Ever Fail, Try Harder – Randall Fairchild. I will live by those words on this blog. Maybe one day I will have a blog worth reading.

Still no pictures from Mr. Handsome’s last visit. He will be here again next week and has promised to bring all the pictures to download on my computer. So, I guess I’ll just have to post a few blogs that share his previous visit and this next one.

Yesterday, I baked skinny cupcakes. They we’re okay but not great. It’s probably because they are skinny cupcakes and not fattening cupcakes.

The original recipe came from SixSisters and they used Sprite zero. I ended up using regular Sprite. Here’s a link to the recipe.

Till next time –
