Happy New Years

First off Happy New Years! Welcome to 2015!

It’s a new year and I am sure many new things are in store. One of them being that I am back on the blogging sphere and my blog livingmylifeasiknowit.com is now lezlovenest.com.

I have an amazing life with an amazing partner, pretty rad pets and the best support system of friends and family that anyone could ask for. With that said, I want to share our stories on, our life, our pets, our support system, and just random things.

I look forward to a brand new start in the blog sphere and most of all a brand new year.

Changes are underway

As you can see the blog is getting a face lift.

A HUGE face lift. I am in the process of converting Living My Life As I Know It over to Lez Love Nest.

My blog about myself will now be about 2 girls, 1 dog, 1 cat and 2 fish. I will be sharing our accomplishments, joys, struggles, failures, love, frustrations and life.

I hope you will continue to read this blog. It’s your love and support that keeps me going.

101 in 1001 days UPDATE!

101 things 1001 days

The Challenge:

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.  I’m starting as of January 1st, 2013 and ending on September 28th, 2015.

The Criteria:

Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?

Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple challenges such as New Year’s resolutions or a ‘Bucket List.’ The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

The Key:

Italicized items are goals currently in progress, while bolded items are those that have been completed.

Christy’s 101 things in 1001 days

  1. Inspire someone else to do the 101 list – Yelena over at the blog “The Twenty-Something” check out her list 
  2. Create a savings account – (created savings account on Jan 2nd)
  3. Apply for a passport – filled out the paper work – just need to schedule and appointment and file
  4. Pay off all my CC debt – putting money away from tips daily to put towards CC debt – Should be paid off by June!
  5. Travel outside the country
  6. Graduate from SFSU  – (It’s happening on May 24th 2014)
  7. Get a big girl job
  8. Take the LSAT  – I got a 141 on the October 5th 2013 exam
  9. Apply to Law school – I started applications, but have decided to hold off for awhile
  10. Read 25 books for pleasure 6/25 – see my list of books below.
  11. Unplug for a weekend (phone and internet)
  12. Go camping
  13. Go Skinny dipping
  14. Visit a big city in the U.S. – Went to New York City with Jackie (Post to come) 
  15. Throw a big party
  16. Buy the person behind me coffee or a meal
  17. Send a care package to someone in the military
  18. Send a care package to a friend
  19. Write personal letters to at least 5 people 0/5
  20. Get a minimum of 50 people to follow my blog between the blogs Facebook page and the blog directly 48/50 (SO close)
  21. Go a month without take out
  22. Have a no spend month (groceries, bills, emergencies only)

  38. Fill my frames with pictures of people I love

  41. Be sponsored on my blog
  42. Organize and download all my photos from Facebook
  43. Attend a blogging conference
  44. Take a cooking or baking class
  45. Make 10 recipes from pinterest – 3/10 – Pasta tacos, pesto chicken and tomato noodles, Basil Lemon Chicken Creamy Pasta, 
  46. Do 5 DIY projects from pinterest
  47. Put all of my recipes together in a cook book
  48. Do 10 things from Sosh.com 1/10 – Slide Hill Park in the Castro
  49. Get straight A’s one semester   Unfortunately I know already that this will not happen as this is my lassemester and Im on track for B’s
  50. Buy new pots and pans *make the investment – my stepdad bought me some a set in August 13′
  51. Sponsor a child in a third world country
  52. Sponsor a Make a Wish Child
  53. Get a Tattoo – Tattoo on my wrist in honor of two of my Grandpas – you can see on this post

  65. Call my Mom/Dad/Stepmom/sister once a month for a year – I talk to one of them at least 2-3 times a month

  68. Go snowboarding – I love snowboarding but don’t get to go ever now that I live in California

Raining day…

Hello lovelies.

Where ever you are I hope you are staying dry. I write to you as I sit for a few minutes on my lunch break at work. When I sat down I realized, I’ve been failing at blogging lately. I honestly can’t even explain why.

I think about blog ideas almost everyday and I have notes everywhere! If you open my school note book there’s ideas jotted down on every class lecture notes page. My phone has a good 20 ideas listed in it.

But again, I never just sit down and write out a post. I don’t have any excuses other than IM LAZY! I get home from work or school and eat or sleep. Most days I do both I eat then I sleep. That’s about it. Other than the occasional night out with the love, I’m just down right lazy! And I’ve unfortunately but blogging on the back burner.

Well I come to you again for like the 3rd time since the New Year to tell you. I’m back, I’m going to blog more. This time I’m not going to make any promises because well I don’t want to break any promises. But hey my lovelies, keep an eye out for more blog posts from me.

Well back to the daily grind of plastering a fake smile on my face and serving food to some of the most needy customers out there. Good ol’ tourists!

Happy New Years my loves!

This year was a whirl wind of a year. It had its good and bad moments but whats a life with out the roller coaster.  I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me, so far it looks very promising.

Law School and LSAT Stress

In October I finally took my first LSAT. It wasn’t as horrible as I thought it would be.

After about 25 days of waiting I finally received my score about a week ago. I only got a 144 but that isn’t horrible. I was looking for a 150 which is still attainable if I decide to take the test again in June.

From here I am going to apply to schools in January when my transcripts include this current semester in them, to up my chances of getting in where I want to get in. For the next couple months I will be working on my resume and personal statement. I will also need to write an addendum for my current GPA reading, it hopes to boost my chance of getting in.

The stress of the LSAT is finally over and now my momentum to apply has kind of subsided. I just need to hunker down, knock out these next few documents and get my applications sent as soon as my updated transcript comes through, then I need to start crossing my fingers.

Do you ever have those times when you get so stressed about something and then once something happens like a test you lose momentum for the rest of what needs to be done to reach your goal? How do you handle stress?
