Law School and LSAT Stress

In October I finally took my first LSAT. It wasn’t as horrible as I thought it would be.

2013-06-25 13.19.44

After about 25 days of waiting I finally received my score about a week ago. I only got a 144 but that isn’t horrible. I was looking for a 150 which is still attainable if I decide to take the test again in June.

From here I am going to apply to schools in January when my transcripts include this current semester in them, to up my chances of getting in where I want to get in. For the next couple months I will be working on my resume and personal statement. I will also need to write an addendum for my current GPA reading, it hopes to boost my chance of getting in.

The stress of the LSAT is finally over and now my momentum to apply has kind of subsided. I just need to hunker down, knock out these next few documents and get my applications sent as soon as my updated transcript comes through, then I need to start crossing my fingers.

Do you ever have those times when you get so stressed about something and then once something happens like a test you lose momentum for the rest of what needs to be done to reach your goal? How do you handle stress?

Good-Bye October // Hello November

The fall and winter months are the months that make me really miss living in Washington. I love to see the changing seasons, it was always aparant what season it was when I was living in Washington. Here in the city, there is a change in weather but its not apparent in the surrounding nature. The weather just changes September and October turn fairly nice (actually) that becomes summer here in the city. Then boom, its suddenly freezing, the wind hits you hard every time you turn a corner, but you know what that means its boots, scarves and hat weather.  With the change in weather you know the months are coming and going.

Can you believe its already November.  This year has gone by so quickly.  If you saw my post on October you know, I’m not wanting to say good-bye to my favorite month.  It was a great month, I took my first LSAT, I turned 25 with a trip to Vegas and I had one of the best Halloween nights I’ve ever had.  Here are some pictures to display my month.

So unfortunately it’s time to say goodbye to October and hello to November. November should bring about a good month as well.  I get to go home and see my family and the whole family is going to be home which will be a first in awhile.  November is also the month of giving Thanks so whats not to enjoy about November?

How was your October? What are you looking forward to this Novemeber

Inspiration Monday // She Believed She Could

She beleived she could

This past Saturday I took my first ever LSAT.  It’s so exiting to finally have completed that daunting task.  After 4 months of studying, I was more than happy to have completed the test.  I may not have studying as hard as I could but I studied a lot, I hope once my results come at the end of the month it all paid off.  I felt really good after completing the test, which I think is a great sign.  Come the end of the month I’ll know…. Is it October 31st yet?

Just believing in yourself to complete something gives you more of an advantage then the person next to you who doesn’t believe in themselves.  Believing in yourself is what carries you the furthest in life. What goal have you set your heart out to complete? Have you completed it?

1 week

lsat

In exactly one week I will be taking my first LSAT! All I can say is I am extremely nervous.

Studying did not turn out the way I wanted to and because I started to over analyze everything my practice scores went down from my first original test without ever even studying. Hopefully I can pull through next week!

*just to be prepared I signed up for the December exam as a back up

Wish me luck!

Hi There…. from afar

Hiya Loves,

I know I have been away from the blogging world these past two weeks. And although, I want to say I’m sorry I can’t because to be honest I’m really not sorry. Harsh, Right? No not really, it’s just honesty! I want you all to know it’s not because I don’t like blogging, that I don’t want to blog or that I just kept forgetting to post. It was just simply that I needed time away from they cyber space environment.

Why you ask:

Well, about two-weeks ago my Great Grandfather passed away. This was really difficult for me and I have been experiencing a lot of mixed emotions over the past two weeks. One of them being that I don’t really want to talk to anyone, and that anyone includes all of you lovely people. I’ve kinda shut people out as I grieve the loss of my Great Grandfather and I know it’s not what I should be doing, but it’s what I needed to do.

GG

RIP: Grandpa Tamm

Also, along with his passing, school has been kicking my butt. I’m having a hard time finding time to complete all my studying and readings for my classes. Not to mention that the LSAT is in less than two weeks and I’m hardly studying due to the school work I have.  Not to mention work and squeezing in a personal life.

A glance at my schedule from last week!

A glance at my schedule from last week!

But,

When a mountain is thrown into the path you call life, YOU climb IT!

Over the past two weeks I have made lists, upon lists, of ideas for the blog.  I am really excited to start transforming those ideas into posts and hope you get just as excited as I am. I have a ton of things in-store for the blog and my life in general. I really enjoying having y’all along for the journey. Please don’t hesitate to leave me comments or shoot me an email. I love to hear your ideas, answer your questions and hear your stories.

You loves are what keep my going!
